Update: R.U.N. 7th June 08

Some changes to note for the upcoming R.U.N., after-thoughts after the recce team feedback.

Instead of meeting at NTU in the morning, we will be meeting at the Carpark at the Bt Timah Food Centre, which is near the Shell station along Bt Timah Road (near the cross-junction of Jln Jurong Kechil & Bt Timah Rd).

Meeting time will be at 9.30am instead. Please have some light breakfast in case we encounter the Causeway jam. I've marked the meeting place in the Google Map on the right. Look for 'Meetup Point for 2nd RUN' blip on the map.

Lastly, do service your bike and check for any possible problems that need rectify before the trip. Enjoy the holidays!

2nd Official R.U.N.

Hi everyone!
After almost a year since our club's very first virgin R.U.N. last year, here are the details of our much anticipated 2nd R.U.N.! (Posting on behalf of Maz)

Date: 7 June 2008
Time: 0730 0930hrs
Meeting place: NTU Hall 6 carpark. Bt Timah Food Centre

Destination: Kota Tinggi and Desaru. (abt 88km)
0930: Gather. Pre-ride briefing. Final check on bikes.
1000: Depart for Kota Tinggi via causeway (Woodlands).
1030: Top up feul at Gelang Patah and breakfast.
1100: Ride to Kota Tinggi.(abt 1 and a half hrs)
1130: Break for more food somewhere near Kota Tinggi. Before heading to the waterfall.
1500: Lunch and then head to Desaru.(ride duration should be between 40 mins and an hr)
1700: R&R in Desaru.
1830: Dinner and head back to Singapore.

ETA at checkpoint should be around 2030hrs or so depending on traffic conditions and group movement.

Makan place yet to confirm coz don't know where good to eat yet. But no worries. Maz and company will recce the route before the actual trip. (kudos to them!!!)

Things to bring/note:
1. Passport
2. Cash card for custom (please ensure minimum balance of S$1.40)
3. Toll fee of RM$1.80 for one way (meaning total of RM$3.60)
4. Extra garments (if you need)
5. Money for your food, rokok, drinks whatever
6. Riding jacket and raincoat
7. Photocopy of Certificate of bike insurance

More details such as pre-ride checks and instructions will be up at a later date. Meanwhile, please facilitate our preparations by informing us of your attendance asap. Thanks!
